Can from a beer festival in Ashford and drunk at home. Black beer with a thin tan head. Espresso coffee and dark chocolate attractive aroma. More of the same in mouth. Rich Belgian chocolate truffle flavour bit of alcohol on the finish. Lovely aroma. Good enough.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear '22, day one, 29/11/22. Clear golden to light amber with an off white covering that retains well. Nose is orange peel, caramel malts, straw, melon. Taste comprises orange peel, sweet malts, caramel, melon, light perfume. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced juicy hop bitterness. Not bad if perhaps a touch sweet.

Cask at The 38th Pig's Ear Beer Festival, Hackney, London. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium bubbly white head on top. Hoppy, orange, mango, aroma & taste. Quite a decent pale ale.

Pigs Ear. Cask. A light haze on this gold beer, tiny white head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, sweet enough. Classic floral hop fruits on the back end. Light and summery even at 5 to December.

Can at home, Nivala. Enjoyed straight from the can. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, grape, hops and malts... some strange elements but drinkability is ok.
