From a 650ml(?) bottle on 15/8/2020 (shared with Butz). Pours a deep brown with a medium head. Having soon after a standard Viva La Beaver so the comparison is fresh. The nose is powerful - heaps of chocolate, peanut butter and cinnamon, with a fair bit of whisky and oak in the background. The flavour is a rinse and repeat of the nose. Intense sweet milk chocolate and peanut butter, lots of cinnamon and dash of whisky. The mouthfeel is slick and a touch syrupy and the carbonation moderate. Very easy drinking for 12.5%, and has a lot of the standard Viva, just a bit less peanuts and a bit more cinnamon, with the addition of the barrel aged character. A truly excellent dessert beer but I'd take the standard version over it.

Capped 375 from Corti Bros. Pours rosé with a very transient pink tinged head. Aroma of somewhat tart raspberries. Med body. Mildly tart - lots of berry flavor - lightly astringent raspberries and some cherry notes. A little oak astringency. Hints of non-descript red wine. Pleasing and tasty.

From a 473ml can on 10/8/2020. Pours a clear medium golden with a biggish white head. Has a pleasant passion fruit and guava nose. The taste is exactly as advertised - distinct POG flavours with the fruit balanced nicely with a modest hop bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Just a really well made, balanced, flavoursome brew.

From a 473 can on 8/8/2020 (shared with Butz). Pours a deep deep brown with a medium tan head. Has a powerful and lovely milk chocolate and peanut aroma. Tastes super sweet and dessertish - it features masses of milk chocolate, cocoa, fudge, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon, against a strong peanut butter background. Finishes with a slightly sharp bitterness that counters the sweetness beautifully. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy and syrupy, the carbonation moderate. This is just an exceptional dessert beer. I really rate their standard PBS but this is something else. Absolutely delicious.

32oz crowler pours with a hazy gold body that supports a thin near white head of foam. The aroma offers up mango, orange candy and grapefruit. The taste delivers fairly sweet and soft and sweetened grapefruit, clementine and cantaloupe. Fortunately it picks up an increasing grapefruit hop bitterness to midway to keep the sweetness somewhat in check. Not too bad.

650ml bottle. Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, short lived, brown head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of roasted caramel malt, peanut butter, milk chocolate, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon. Sweet flavour of toasted caramel malt, peanuts, dark chocolate, lactose, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and earth in a dry, mild bitter, coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, sticky texture and soft carbonation. An excellent dessert beer. Lots of fun!
