Can (1/26/19) pour from Valley Beverage Company. Appearance is opaque black with light-colored floaties, mild sparkle at the edges of the glass, thin cap of light-brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is equal parts strong peanut butter and roasted malt; somewhat less strong lactose. Taste is strong peanut butter over roasted malt, milder chocolate and lactose; some roasted malt bitterness. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, silky texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, pretty respectable peanut butter stout.

Can (9/4/19) pour from Valley Beverage Company, Sherman Oaks. Appearance is hazy yellow with champagne-like effervescence of bubbles adhering to the side of the glass and tons of lively bubbles rising to the surface, with finger-width white fizzy head with poor retention and decent leggy lacing. Aroma is sweet and tart citrus, mild resin, and grainy malts. Taste follows aroma with resin higher in the mix. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and finish as taste--mostly tart fruit and grains. Overall, I knew this was a bit old but decided to take a chance on it. The hops almost certainly aren't what they once were, and my guess is fresher would lean more to the sweet fruity side, but think this is still fairly true.

16oz can pours out pale straw topped with a white head. Nose is sweet melons tropical fruit. Taste is more of the nice sweet melons fruit notes.

Can at share. Golden pour with skimpy head.Aroma is floral and pine. Taste starts sweet, thick and sticky. More sweet than bitter, although a light tingle remains.

Bottle/Fest. A- Light body, mild fruit, hay, subtle funk. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Acidic, mild fruitiness, mild funk. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, tart finish. O- Not having any idea when I drank this what all it had, I wouldn't have guessed that there were loads of peaches or apricots in here. In retrospect, I did get a general stone fruit background but it definitely didn't stand out. Good but not noteworthy.

Bottle/Fest. A- Chocolate, mild peanut butter. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Chocolate, cinnamon, mild peanut butter, vanilla. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- It's the Mexican chocolate that gives this the flavor but I do think I touch of chilies would add another dimension. Probably one of the better peanut butter stout variants I've had of this beer but still left wanting a tad more.

Can thanks to Trevor. Pours a hazy yellow hue with a large white head. A light dank fruity nose. Funky, big dank hops, pineapple, soft bready dough core. Solid.

Deep golden color. Chalky white head. Pretty dank overripe tropical fruit in the nose. Bright mango character, full malt backbone, massive bitterness but balanced well with the big maltiness. Alcohol is well hidden. It’s a big, balanced and hops are very pronounced but don’t feel there is anything too special or unique about this beer. Perfectly acceptable and well made.

Creamy white head stayed on a hazy dark gold still body. Mango & Tropical aroma. Medium bodied, sharp over the tongue with a dry clean back. Mango, sweet citrus, bitter citrus, pineapple & peach tastes with a long tangy finish. Excellent

With Deftones since Adrenaline, so this is a fun find in a local bar. Sweet malts, floral and tropical fruity, soft vanilla. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Bonus points.
