Medium body. Prima IPA maar niet heel opzienbarend.

Bottle. A- Nutty, roasty, peanut butter. A- Golden orange color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Roasty, nutty, peanut butter. P- Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Okay. Lots of natural roasted non sweet peanut butter. As usual, not a fan of nitro from a bottle nor white stouts. Good but could be improved.

Pour is a not quite totally hazy with a large white head. Aroma is a decent fruity hop with a large honey malt presence. Flavor is some agave with some white grape and again a big dry honey malt. It says hazy IPA on the can but this is not a hazy IPA. Still this has some decent things going for it. Just a odd enough hop combo to make it interesting and the malts used are kind of up front.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Dank aroma. Med + body. Flavor is dank and fruity. Adequate pale malt support. Unexpectedly dry. Dankly bitter with a hop burn. Fruit might be some sort of melon with passion fruit. Hard to pin down. Flavor is strong. A very good drink.

50cl bottle via trade, thanks Arturo.

Capped 375 from Corti Bros. Pours hazy, dirty gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma is sour nectarine/peach. Near medium body. It is more tart than sour, but quite tart. Flavor is somewhat lacto/pedio. Fruit seems more nectarine than peach. Rather acidic in the gut. Tart enough that this may not be a good entree to the style. Delicious.

It’s a 5.5% pastry stout. Doesn’t that make sense?! Meh not bad but not enough body and flavors at too artificial. Not particularly bad, but it’s like a 90s experimental stout that is a seasonal which people talked about all over town. Far and wide it was revered. Only bad point is that the 90s were 20 years ago.

Fluffy white head left a rocky cover on a turbid milkshake coloured still body. Bitter hops, lactose, melon & confectionery aroma. Medium bodied, creamy on the tongue with a sharp back & soft feel down the throat. Sweet citrus, melon, mango, Tropical fruits & fruit smoothie tastes with a bitter hoppy & grapefruit finish.
