Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber brown with a near white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has lots of vanilla and bourbon with a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has more caramel and sweet grains but still a strong bourbon backbone.

Sample at GABF 10/04/2014, thanks to my BIL for assistance with note-taking. Brownish-black pour with a thin beige head that dissipates quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Coffee and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, malt and slight chocolate. The finish is sweet with a mild coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.
