Description
General guidance to members adding beers:-
Kernel beers are largely added as 'series' and the naming within the various series are for example ... 'Pale Ale - Hop(s)'. Capital letter on each hop, no commas.
Kernel beers are largely left unretired so don't tick the 'out of production' box unless it's a special/collaboration beer.
With all the various hop combinations it's not been unknown for a specific beer to re-appear again after an absence of 7 years.
The early beers named as 'sours' were brewed by kettle souring, as such these beers (typically 4% and below) are regarded by the brewer to be more akin to a Berliner Weisse stylistically and are therefore listed as such.
The brewery springs from the need to have more good beer. Beer deserving of a certain attention. Beer that forces you to confront and consider what you are drinking. Upfront hops, lingering bitternesses, warming alcohols, bodies of malt. Lengths and depths of flavour. We make Pale Ales, India Pale Ales and old school London Porters and Stouts towards these ends. Bottled alive, to give them time to grow.

Keg at The Harp. Several pints were consumed. It pours slightly hazy yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh & clean, green, weedy, dank, straw, grassy, zippy grapefruit, green fruits, gooseberry, white grape and melon. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, pleasing level of bitterness, green, weedy, herbal, slightly floral, piney, pithy, zesty, grapefruit, lemon, herbal, peach, pear and melon with a dry, quenching finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Just what a I needed to crunch thy thirst on a hot, sun y summers eve.

Wow thatโs spectacular. Gorgeous dirty citrus, pine and floral hop character. Super fresh. Refreshing hop bitterness. Balancing background pale malt. Some rind, tangerine, orange. Nip of honeysuckle. Moreish. Superb.

Bottle from. Westhill Service Station.it pours lightly hazy yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh and fragrant, green, grassy, summer meadow, damp pie, tangerine, lime, tangelo, dry wood, farmhouse battle bread and cracker. The taste is crisp, bone dry, pleasing bitter, snappy, green, grassy, leafy, herbal, touch of spice, dry wood, lemon verbena, pine, lemon & lime peel, waxy citrus rind, straw and rustic cracker with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A robust and flavourful lagerbier. Really got deep into this.
