Bottled@Oud Arsenaal, Antwerp. Amber colour, mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some mild wooden notes along with herbs and earth. Flavour is nectar, some floral and fruity notes along with mild alcohol as well as some mild grains. Very nice flavour actually.

330ml bottle from Beer me up Scotty, Shrewsbury Market Hall. Kinda liked the label so bought on impulse. Wish I’d not bothered really. A bit unspectacular, a little sweet for a Belgian blonde with a slight breadiness coming through. Ok, but that’s it.

Bottle at Spaarbank,Tilburg. Hazy yellow color, medium-sized white head. Grassy hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Light fruity, Belgian yeasty flavor. Some grassy notes but otherwise low bitterness. More or less unexciting blonde.

Amber to copper in appearance. Primarily a sweet, malty beer with the added complexity of spicy ginger.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 9/27/2015. Pours lightly hazy golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of herbal/earthy yeast spiciness and light tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, apple, white grape, light banana, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; with nice malt/yeast/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
