Level 6 tasting. Cheers! Hazy amber beer, teeny tiny pale cream colour head. Smooth dry palate, decent fine carbonation. Rich caramel malts, tastes oxidised, like 45 year old Jubilee beer, but slightly fresher.

On tap at Uno Chicago Grill in Hamilton, NJ. Jet black pour topped by a foamy tan head. Rich roasted malt aroma hints at molasses. Flavor is dark roasted malt, molasses, cinnamon and vanilla as advertised. Soft, creamy mouthfeel is silky on palate. Some booziness in middle. Sweet, malty finish is enduring.

16 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Honey gold pour. Large frothy beige head. Mild fruity hop aroma hints at tangerine and pine. Flavor is more of the same. Juicy citrus combines with pungent pine to provide a West Coast feel. Perhaps a hint of melon or peach on the backend. Tasty.

Pours a dark reddish amber with a creme colored head. Aroma of somewhat sweet malt, some mild fruitiness. Taste has banana, nutmeg, cinnamon, sweet rich malt with pine hop oils. Palate has a lingering hop oil on the tongue, much like an IPA. Really crafty take on the style. Excellent.

On tap at brewery. Hazy light brown pour. Brief beige head. Sweet fruity malt aroma hints at Belgian yeast and banana. Typical River Horse flavor nuances found in many of their brews. Further notes of clove and caramel. Not much happening from a hop standpoint. Slightly bitter in middle. Sticky mouthfeel. Bittersweet malty finish. This is a paradox of a brew. Uncharacteristically dark for the style. Flavor profile is way off, too. Honestly, this tastes like a lower alcohol version of their Belgian Freeze. Perhaps the name Dual Citizen is apropos since the brew is not what it seems.
