Watery and thin - barely any hop flavor at all, and the malt "backbone" has a touch of scoliosis - a tiny bit of caramel and mild sweetness - bland, lifeless finish - pass on this one if given the choice.

Strawberry blonde in color, perfectly clear with moderate lacework - musty aroma with fruity esters, mostly apple, banana and pear, a hint of vanilla - the flavor is not as complex as the aroma suggests - a mild sweetness combines with a perfumy, flowery, herbal quality - more vanilla in the flavor - a bit of hops in the finish - not bad, but not all that impressive a belgian.

No mentioning of "Harvest" on my bottle Clear amber, good yellowish head, creamy in substance. Cookie, caramel, light-roasted malts, bit of peanut(butter) aroma. Dull-bitterish taste. Not really hoppy, neither dark malts, even when malty sweetnes is very present underneath. Toffee-caramel finish, pineapple flavour, even a bit of Maillard? Bitterish returns in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, smooth. Quite drinkable, nowhere extraordinary.

Clear deep copper body, thin/medium clumping light cream head. Caramely, bready aroma with some earthy hops. Bready, toasty body with an unusual blend of caramely malts and piney, spicy hops; these are both up-front at the outset, whereas the malts and hops seem to develop separately in many otherwise similar beers. Long distinct bitter finish, although it reminds me a bit of sucking on a copper penny. After a few sips, the hops really take precedence. Quite leafy. I’m not sold on this particular combination of characteristics. Thanks Dan (jah noth) for the bottle!

Clear copper coloured body with a super-thin off-white head. Aroma of clean hops, caramel, pale malt and some fresh apples/peaches. Light-bodied; Mild malt taste, short sweet flavours roaming up front and a good bland hoppiness in the taste. Aftertaste is non-existant & watery. Overall, about what I expected-a pretty bad beer. Not recommended at all! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liqours in Washington, D.C. on 16-October-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

This is only the second beer that I have had from this company. It came to me in my beer club. +++Sampled from a 12 oz bottle the beer poured a cloudy light mahogany color with a small tan head that faded quickly. There was a sour malt aroma with a light amount of hops. The flavor was bitter, faintly sour and had some noticeable molasses. The texture was smooth. A malty taste came through at the finish with a hint of spice as well.

This beer came to me in a beer club. I like the name, but then again I am partial to Belgian style beers. +++ It was sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle and poured a very dark brown color. Holding it to the light only the faintest of ruby color shone through. There was no head at all. The aroma was sweet, fruity and had an almost brown sugar element to it. Hints of coffee and molasses drifted to the nose as well. The flavor was strong with dark malt, coffee and brown sugar. This winter ale really ended up tasting more like a mild coffee porter more than anything else. Yet it did have the sweetness of a Belgian ale. Quite interesting.

Wow THIS was bad. I opened two bottles - I thought I must have a bad one. Whew! No head at all, with a slight haze in a dark yellow beer. Some very slight hops. but otherwise it is odorless. No flavor, no carbonation, no nothing. Maybe some sourness?? Sorry!

This deep garnet colored beer pours out and hardly raises a head. What there is laces the glass and then quickly disappears. The aroma is citrusy with bready notes. The flavor is lightly sweet, and the finish is papery dry, but not long lasting. Not complex or fruity enough to be a top notch Belgian, sort of comes off as a fruity Bock. Drinkable but largely unremarkable.

This poured deep amber with a rocky head. Light malt and hops in the nose. The flavor was bitter through to the end, almost astringent. Good, not great.
