11/4/2022. Can shared by minutemat, cheers. Texas region rating #5. Pours clear pale golden orange with a small frothy white head. Aroma of sweet berries, orange, musty grape, strawberry, opal fruits, touch of vanilla ice cream. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a slight tart edge. Light body, watery oily mouthfeel, quite fizzy. Slightly harsh finish.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a crystal clear mahogany color with a giant beige head and annoyingly great retention. Good lacing. Brown sugar and maple syrup aroma. The taste follows the nose with a syrupy sweet pecan pie flavor and a sugary finish. This qualifies as too much of a good thing. Over the top sweetness, just like the pie. Maybe pour it on some vanilla ice cream? Medium body. Decent carbonation. Sticky sweet mouthfeel. Not bitter. Tastes more like a brown ale versus a porter. Way too sweet to have more than one.

(Thanks, Jim! ozzy70) Can. A-Nutty, grains, slightly bready. A- Amber color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Nutty, toasted grains, malty. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- My second polotmavy and a very drinkable one. Nice nutty flavor. Shiner did pretty well here.

Bottle (Thanks, Jim! ozzy70) A- Peach, gummy. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Peach, wheat, mild sweetness. P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, balanced finish. O- Decent peach flavor. Reminds me of Pyramid Apricot I had long ago. Not bad.

355ml can @ blackhaddock's beer cave. Very pale misty yellow appearance with modest white foam atop. Pleasant but light grapefruit aroma, soft ginger. Continues to taste to form a light, thin-bodied vague grapefruit character, a touch watery but fine for what it is. One saved for the mother in law.

Bottle with a twist off cap. Pour is crystal clear pale. Immediate nose of somewhat artificial strawberry, wife says it has an aroma of sterile strawberry household cleaner. First taste is dull fruit beer, not really sure if it is strawberry, just some kind of fruit. Lots of co2 in there, feels good on the palate. yes, except for the fact that it has plenty of carbonation, this stuff comes across like any other ubiquitous dull fruit beer, lacking sweetness and lacking tartness, just plain dull. A little disappointing in its presentation. Good level of co2 keeps it somewhat refreshing and carries it over to the finish. In the end it reminds me a little of strawberry Kool-Aid that somebody forgot to put the sugar in.

I'm never fooled by the label, so I doubted this would taste like candied nuts. From $2 bottle it pours dark brown with a maroon tinge. Nose is somewhat sweet with a tad of vanilla. First taste is somewhat coffee, somewhat sweet and somewhat near cloying. No nuts at first but my wife says its in there. Finally in the middle it seems to have some nuts in there but not sure what kind. Smell does have a little pecan, but not fer sher. I'm typically a fan of shiner brews but this one is a little difficult. Yes, it gets more cloying during the session. Not sure what to think, its certainly not refreshing the bit. Some vanilla is starting to peek out. Finishes with notes of pastry, like many of those newer stupid straight up ass pastry brews. Mouth coating.
