Bomber shared at Slutfest 4. Pours a clear dark red color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, herbal hops.. The taste is nutty notes, caramel, herbal hops. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.

Bomber from the Arden Bev-Mo. Pours hazy gold with a creamy/foamy white head. Aroma is not very recognizable. Med body. Flavor is gritty/wheaty with some notes that may represent strawberry. Really not very pleasant. Finishes rather yucky and gummy.

Very hazy amber beer, small white head. Smooth softish palate. Semi dry. Quite a lot of lactose sweetish malt in which sit moderately bitter hops. A little orange and mild piney - grassy bitterness. Finishes dry with a mild bitter linger. Not bad.

Dark brown pour with some ruby highlights and a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt and coffee. Medium body with a smokey character and notes of sweet malt, hops and chocolate. The finish is subtly smoked with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

This brew pours a hazy orange color with a medium thin foamy off-white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of grainy malt, hops and citrus. Medium body with flavors of mildly bitter hops, citrus and sweet malt. The finish is caramel malt up front with a short hoppy aftertaste. Not really a IIPA in my opinion, slightly above average for the style though if that is what they are calling it.

Bottle: Poured black/brown with a thick tan colored head. Aroma is mocha coffee and chocolate. Hits the taste buds with coffee and slowly mellows to reveal smoke in the finish.

Bottle from BevMo. Pours amber gold with a slight creamy white head. Vanilla? I get light roast malt and maybe citrus. Near med body. Now I get the vanilla. Or more likely vanillin. No claim for beans on the bottle. Still it’s actually fairly pleasant and drinkable. There’s enough citrus (I think) hop to make it bitter, and the vanilla isn’t obnoxious. rerate in August 2014. Tap at Mendocino Ale House. Flavor seems way too strongly vanilla.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is med dark milk chocolate. Med body. Flavor is earthy chocolate with smooth burnt malt Drinks pretty good. Goes very well with cheese.

22oz bomber pours dark mahogany with tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up somewhat oxidized earthy malts, faint chocolate and that’s about it. The taste has a flash of the same earthy maltiness that quickly gets over run by dark roasted malts, burnt malts and then a coffee sensation. To midway sweet malty earthiness and a dash of chocolate come to the surface before roasted to burnt malts take over and run this thing into the finish.
