Cask. Hazy golden with no head. Tart and very authentic apple aroma - lots of honey as well. Medium body, flat with very astringent apple accents quickly balanced by a fruity sweetness. Has a whiff of acetone, well actually a bit more than a whiff - it makes me cough! A rather authentic and interesting cider. 180110

Polypin at the Orchard, Bristol 9/11/09. Slightly hazy gold with no carbonation. A very dry cider, with some farmyard funkiness, apple cores and peel, a touch of vinegar and a dry, yet refreshing finish. Full of character.

Polycask at Merton Summer Beer and Cider festival 18-07-09 Amazed that I’ve never rated this one up until now as I’ve had it on a number of occasions now. Pours hazy warm golden. Nice juicy apple aroma. Tastes bloody marvellous, tart, crisp, some sweetness lovely stewed apple pie tang. Great stuff. A7 A3 F8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Cask@HBF2006. Hazy yellowish golden colour. No head. Aroma is sour applejuice along with some sour wood as well. Flavour is sour apples along with wood and some sligh baconlike notes. Aftertaste gets some slight bluecheese-like notes.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 4/10/07. Opaque orange with minimal head. Aroma was a mix of yeasty farmyard and inviting apple juice. Flavour of tart apples with a very long dry finish. Dangerously drinkable for the ABV. Excellent [4.0]. Re-rate at the Cotham Porter Stores, Bristol 22/03/10. Much sweeter this time around, with a distinct caramel edge and lacking in complexity [3.2].

Bag in a box at Kent BF 07. Orange/gold cloudy, no head. Cheesy apple aroma. Really a very fine cider, good fleshy apple juice. Ridiculously refreshing, dry, but not overpowering. One of the better ciders. Lots of fruit and character. Superb. I was there at Reading this year when it won Champion Cider of the Year.
