Draught @ the brewpub. Pours cloudy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, yeast, and banana. Sweetish, estery and malty flavour, enhanced by the pronounced but not aggressive banana notes. Mild, estery aftertaste. A decent German Hefeweizen.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy light straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of hops, yeast and malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with notes of yeast and needles. Rough aftertaste. An OK beer, actually better than most "Originals" found in the brewpubs of Northern and Central Germany.

On tap at the brewpub. The beer in the glass is copper coloured. Hoppy and dry aroma. Starts very washy - keeps it till the end. The finish is metallically and dry, a bit earthy. Strange lager!

(6/21/08) Draught at the Leipziger Bierbörse festival in Leipzig. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of adjuncts and grainy malt. Sweet grainy flavor with sugar. Light-bodied. This beer pretty much sucks, I had to water a near-by tree with it.

A strange beer. No idea where it is brewed. Simply named "Kuckucksbier". Asked Ludwiga Zerbst about it, It think it’s brewed in different breweries in different times. My one is a schwarzbier, 4,9 % ABV. The bottle looks terrible, the beer in the glass is not bad. Tastes modest malty, a little bit sweet. Dry finish, almost like a dunkel. Not bad!
