Bottle. Thanks Will. Interesting, grassy hops, little bit of maltiness. Nice enough but unsurprisingly underwhelming.

18/12/2018. Bottle from Jumbo Costanera Centre, Santiago. Pours pale amber with a huge foamy off-white head from a bottle that kept giving. Aroma of sweet malt, toffee, grain, light fruit and a little milky chocolate. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

Bottle shared at Gremlin 2nd anniversary. Thanks Ozan! Hazy deep brown with a small beige head. Very vinous nose, almost like a cabernet, with lots of oak alongside toasted caramel and chocolate. Hides the alcohol amazingly well, but still a nice warming finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Colaborativa #4 on 09 Oct 2016 at 21:10 - Score: 8. Original review text: Thanks Ozan!

Pours hazy brown, bit of white beige foam. Aroma is blowing me away. Sourish but full of caramel candy, some vinous oak thrown in. Taste is strong, alcohol very upfront but does not bother, sweet caramel and herbal hops gone sourish together. Insane. Oakey. Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. Dry finish, some sweetness still lingering in the aftertaste.

Super old bottle bought from the final days of Masuyo (now closed). Drank one week before best buy date. Heineken-like skunky nose with some light grain and pepper. Taste is well-balanced and rather light-bodied, but refreshing. Good bitterness on the finish with some white pepper. Not bad for being almost a year and a half old. --- Beer merged from original tick of Rubia Al Vapor on 05 Mar 2016 at 20:07 - Score: 6. Original review text: Old but still good hops!

Bottle courtesy of Mick. Szot Negra stout 5.8% a dark black pour with a big foamy light beige head. The nose is rich umami, sweet chocolate & berries. Medium bodied, very smooth with w round carbonation. The taste is a reach sweet malty fruit dark malts. Light roastiness, sweet tangy fruits & dark chocolate - damn good stuff.

Bottle from Kyoto Isetan. It pours an opaque amber brown with a sugary caramel aroma that is like a candied toffee. The taste is malty sweet caramel with a bit of a bitter bite. Not bad it has a nice nuttiness to it.

Bottle from Isetan Kyoto. Brown-orange color, cloudy, lace. Nicely malty nose, caramel, chocolate, earthy. Rich malts. Similar malt character to the Vapor, with a bit of extract-like astringency. Peaches, apples, earth, caramel. Heavy and cloying and amateurish. Doesn’t work for me.

Bottle from Isetan Kyoto. Amber-orange color, quite cloudy, with a tall, fine head and evident carbonation. Very rich, malty nose, caramel, a bit of fudge. Almost more like a dunkel in the nose. Sweet malt, minerals, caramel, peaches, something a bit astringent, light hop flavor, then decent bitterness. Rather dirty in the malt area, yeasty, seems like they used extract. Not convincing. Heavy and cloying.

Bottle from Isetan. Served in a snifter, it pours a slightly hazy honey amber with a thin foamy off-white head that lingers and leaves a ring of film around the edge of the glass. Quite a nice fruity aroma, medium maltiness and some citrus + saltwater taffy/caramel. Medium bodied with a zesty carbonation and mouthfeel. The initial flavor hit is a bit of booze, bitterish malts, then some rounded fruitiness and a soft finish of fruits & malts. Quite an interesting brew, I like it. As it warms up the hops came to the fore and it became somewhat IPA or American Barleywine like. The importer seems to be bringing these in fairly clean - nice.
