500ml bottle from Barley Wine, Copenhagen. (Almost) clear amber-brown body under a fragile layer. Light roasted caramel to the nose. Flavour brings plain malt, but also some late fruits and a touch of almond. Some alcohol in the endnotes. Very sweet palate (shared with Finn Arvid, 31.05.2008).

500 ml bottle. Amber body with a big, light beige head. A bit subdued hoppy aroma. Flavor is malt with a sharp bitterness, not particular aromatic. Finish is rather bitter as well. OK, but quite average, dry bitter ale.

Bottle at ÅBF08. Caramelly aroma. Clear amber colour. Vinous flavour, tastes lagered, a bit too much for my taste.

Bottle. It pours a nice ruby to brown body, almost clear, with a beige head. Caramel, roasted malt and sweetness in the aroma, sure not on the hoppy side, though there are some fruity notes. Sweet, caramel flavor with some fruityness, leading to a lightly fruity and hop-bitter finish. Quite dryish, medium body. Sure, it’s a nice brew, but their regular doppelbock is better. (080314)

Bottle. It has a clear, copper body and a beige head, looking quite cute. Aromas of beef-stock, sugary maltyness, some fruity, caramel and a touch of alcohol espaces the glass. In the mouth, it has a pleasant malty and meaty flavor with a nice fruity touch. Low on bitterness initially, but it’s there when the beer is swallowed. The finish is quite roasted and sweet as well, and it lasts for a good while. Full body. A pleasant dobbelbock. (080314)
