0.3 Litre, in a tall glass in the BrewPub on 11th Sep 2013. Pale golden and cloudy with a full white head. Almost odourless, with mild hints of yeast and citrus notes. Refreshing, but bland, yeasty feel to the whole tasting with a dry finish: a typical German BrewPub pils with nothing to make me want another.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy, golden-amber colour with a big, white head in the weizen glass. Very nice. Fruity aroma with banana, clove, yeasts, wheat malts and a rather fresh citrus or lemon note. Some herbal hops. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes sweet, spicy and fruity. Nice weizen, that lemon/citrus note lifts this beer from being average.

Draught at the brewpub. Brown colour with a lighter tint, creamy off-white head. Sweet aroma with toast, caramel, also hints of nuts. Taste is sweet. Light to medium body, creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finshes short and sweet with brown sugar, caramel and toasted malts. I had this one after the superb Martins Bräu Pils, and it tasted more watery, despite the style, higher abv. and bigger body. Still a decent dunkel.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy, golden colour with a darker tint. Frothy, white head. Light fruity aroma with a citrus note - quite unusual for a German pilsener - then grass, pale malts and herbal, floral hops. Taste is bitter. Light to medium body with a thinner texture and a lively carbonation, almost fizzy - which adds to the freshness and crispness of this pilsener. Finishes bitter and dry with citrus and hay. Very refreshing, that just hit the spot this warm summer evening in Freiburg.

Draught at the brauhaus
Beautiful dark amber color; creamy, beige head. Light aroma of roasted malt, simple. The flavor is better supported by some good malt and caramel, then some roasted malt; the mouthfeel is overall quite dry, with more roasted malt in the end; the bitterness is well pronounced. Quite good, but nothing special.

Draught at the brauhaus
Cloudy blond color; creamy head. Mild malt and hop aroma, some noble hops appears. The malt profile is mild, but the combination of light crispness, extreme dryness and high bitterness creates a very refreshing impact; long final, although the hop doesn’t carry many aromatic qualities. Good.

Draught at the brauhaus
Muddy blond color; creamy head. The aroma is a bit smelly, of stale water. The mouthfeel is dry; wheat flavor, a bit spicy, with a light lemony character. Correct bitterness. Refreshing.
