AROMA: medium-high pine (spruce) aroma, medium grapefruit and slight passionfruit from hops. medium-low neutra-sweet malt background. APPEARANCE: yellow color with fine particles in suspension. medium-low white head, creamy, with average retention. TASTE: balanced combination of medium green pine (spruce) and medium hops (grapefruit, slight fruity). medium-low neutral-sweet malt background. medium-high to high bitterness with a dry and slightly piny finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an interesting combination of hops and real pine.

AROMA: medium-high smoky aroma (ham-like and slight burnt rubber). slight malty background with a sweet character. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium-low beige head with average retention. slight lace formation. TASTE: initial medium-high sweet malt flavor quickly overwhelmed by medium-high smoky notes (burnt, rubber, slight ham) and an excessive bitterness for the style. finishes semi-sweet and overly bitter. MOUTHFEEL: medium-high body with medium carbonation. slight astringency and smooth alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a doppelbock where the smoked malt character completely takes over and with odd excessive bitterness for a doppelbock.
