0,33l bottle at home. Some dates are on the bottle but in very bad writing. orange very hazy color, small white head. smells earthy, citric, grassy, peppery, spices, bit yeasty, floral, hints of pines. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, citric, grassy, pines, light spices, peppery, lightly floral, herbal. finishes medium bitter with notes of grass, citrus and some piney notes. Great balance on this, very enjoyable to drink. Almost a bit oldschoolish, but overall very nice one.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Oro, limpida, schiuma bianca media, abbastanza persistente. Al naso note di pesca, mango, erba, leggero vegetale. In bocca è molto morbida, attacco maltato leggero con finale amaro contenuto. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Buona.

9th July 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting in Chez Sophie. Cheers Paolo for the 33cl bottle of this. Pours a true black colour, the head a tanned affair. I found some wine like esters before the coffee aromas took over in the nose. taste wise it's coffee, chocolate and vanilla in a viscous, slick body. Very pleasant and very boozy.

Sampled draft @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria. Hazy citrus, small white head. Nose is weird esoteric oil, cookie dough & citrus hop. Taste is cookie dough, pastry, citrus oil, esoteric oil. Same for body, rather weird but def not bad.

Tap. Murky pale golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy, biscuity, chalky, not so aromatic. Taste is grassy, biscuity, a bit mineralic. Silky-chalky mouthfeel, a bit with medium carbonation. Comparably dull unfortunately.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino media, abbastanza persistente. Al naso note di cioccolato, melassa, vaniglia, caffè. In bocca è equilibrata, attacco dolce cioccolatoso con finale amaro caffettoso, leggera vaniglia. Corpo inferiore alle attese, carbonazione leggera, un po' piatta. Non male, ma da rifinire.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Rubino chiaro, leggermente torbida, schiuma bianca appena velata di rosa, media e persistente. Al naso note di lamponi, sciroppo di granatina, leggero citrico, mentuccia. In bocca ha una acidità contenuta, l'attacco è dolciastro, leggermente lattica. Corpo esile, watery, carbonazione medio-leggera. Forse un po' timida, ma di ottima beva, perfetta per l'estate.

Thx! 330 ml. bottle sampled. Black mocha head. Nose is surprisingly boozy, basic chocolate,… boozy cheap chocolate, mocha, soy sauce, bit umami,… Boost sauce, crude & zero coconut just like the vanilla RIS had zero vanilla.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, July 18, courtesy of Paolo. Pours black, thick tan head. Oily, viscous on the palate, thick chocolate, distant coconut sweetness, quite balanced, moderate sweetness. Great Imperial Stout.
