Description
Around 2000 Mike Penney’s ‘Troggi Seidr’ began to make cider and perry with his Victorian machinery. Troggi specialises in whole juice dry cider and perry and is developing bottle conditioned products.

BIAB at Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival 2023. Golden colour, no head and aroma of pear. Taste is fruity, perry pear, sweet, alittle funk, tart and tannic. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, medium sweet peary finish. Quite drinkable.

14/9/2022. BIAB serving shared by danlo, cheers Ed. Pours clear pale amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is tart apple, cardboard, leather, slight woody edge. Light sweetness, moderate bitterness, touch of tart. Light to moderate body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Dry finish. Pretty decent.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Pale yellow gold colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of fruity pear, floral, straw hint. Taste is sweetish, pear, fleshy, fruity, with some light citric tartness, and alittle woody tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying finish. Quite drinkable.

750ml wired cork bottle from Welsh Cider & Perry Festival 2022, Caldicot Castle, Wales. On opening, cork self ejected with a loud pop. Pale yellow gold colour, bubbly white foam head that quickly dissipates to a thin layer and aroma of perry pear, juicy, fruity, funk hint. Taste is tangy, perry pear, fruity, with meaty funk notes, some citric acidity and drying earthy tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry citric tart & tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

5/8/2022. From BIAB at GBBF 2022, day 4. Pours clear pale golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of pear, caramel, light earthy straw notes. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Slightly watery, soft carbonation. Light sweet and tart finish. Quite okay.

Bladder Bag at GBBF '22 day 4, 05/08/22. Clear golden to light copper with nothing in the way of a head. Nose is bitter apple, straw, light smoke, farmyard tones. Taste comprises bitter sweet apples, orchard wood, tannins, dusty fruits. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. good stuff.

Bag in a box at GBBF 2022. Clear amber colour lasting white. interesting aroma. Good dryness. some acetone on finish. some tannin some dryness. yes some decent tannin
