Description
Around 2000 Mike Penney’s ‘Troggi Seidr’ began to make cider and perry with his Victorian machinery. Troggi specialises in whole juice dry cider and perry and is developing bottle conditioned products.

BIAB at Welsh Cider and Perry Festival, 03Jun2022, Caldicot Castle, Wales. Golden colour, no head and aroma of perry pears, woody. Taste is perry pear, woody notes, with some tangy tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Quite OK

BIAB at Welsh Cider and Perry Festival, 03Jun2022, Caldicot Castle, Wales. Golden colour, no head and aroma of fruity apple, some funk. Taste is tangy, apple, fruity, some mucky funk, biscuity note and drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

BIAB at Welsh Cider and Perry Festival, 03Jun2022, Caldicot Castle, Wales. Deep amber gold colour, no head and aroma of mellow apple, oak barrel, whisky cask. Taste is tangy, apple, woody, oak, vanilla, with some tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry oaky vanilla tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

BIAB at Nottingham Beer & Cider Festival 2021. Bright golden colour, noh ead and aroma of apple, mucky funk. Taste is apple, tangy, mucky barnyard funk, with some drying tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Quite drinkable

BIAB at 2018 Welsh Perry & Cider Festival, Caldicot. Golden amber colour, no head and woody pear aroma. Taste is pear fruity, woody, abit astringent, very dry. Light to medium bodied, low carbonation, drying finish. Quite OK.

Bag in a box at Peterborough Camra Beer & Cider Festival. Pours hazy pale gold, no head. On the nose there are juicy pears and light acidity. More of the same on the taste, gentle bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Enjoyed this

Bag in a box at the Harp - London. Pours a nice, pretty yellow colour. Some honeysuckle in here, moderate pear sweetness, some dry hay stacks. Medium bodied, fine. Sweet finish with faint salty notes, moderate ripe pear. Not bad overall. Enjoyable perry.

Gbbf. Fast klare blass gelbe Farbe. Geruch leicht säuerlich trocken, Birnen. Geschmack säuerlich fruchtig, trocken, reife Birnen.

Bag in a box gravity at K&ES BF 2015. Very dry. Some cheese. Enormously dry. Good pear fruit. Just dessicating. Wow. Pear juice and dryness.

Bag in a box at Bristol Beer Festival, 15/3/2014 at 6.1% ABV. Pale gold with next to no carbonation. Enjoyable, tart and slightly sulphurous pear fruit, with a touch of the barnyard and tartish finish. Very good.
