Flavour is sweet pear, mild red apples, quite acidic with some mild wooden and vanillaish notes. Also some cheesy notes as it gets closer to room temperature. Very pleasant. Good sipper!

Cask. Hazy yellow with no head. Tart nose with a little acetone. Medium body, extremely dry and astringently sour - lots of tannins on my teeth. Astringent and sulphurous finish. 220110

Polycask at Merton Beer and Cider Festival, Merton, Oxon, 18-07-09 Pours hazy yellow. Aroma is oaky, soft apples and boozy, really didn’t get as much peat as others here get. Taste was really mellow apple, the dry tannic qualities had been quashed by the whisky cask aging which whilst good had also robbed this just a tad too much of its more tangy sharpy and dry appley character. It was soft, smooth and appley for definate with whisky in abundance but I’m not a huge fan or even that knowledgeable on whisky so perhaps some of the finer points of this cider were lost on me, that said it was still enjoyable.
