Handpump at The Pheasant,Toddington, Gloucestershire 16.06.12 Pours warm gold with a filmy white head. Good golden beer, nicely fruity with a bitter drying edge a seam of light sweetness throughout. Nice beer. A7 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.3

On gravity at the Tewkesbury Beer festival, 4/02/2011. Dark brown with a slightly oily slick of a tan head. After reading imdownthepub’s review of this rare beer, I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it proved to be a crushing disappointment. Sweet, bready malts and a vague hint of spice, with nothing by way of character.

Cask (handpump) @ Lamp Tavern, 157 Barford Street, Highgate, Birmingham, West Midlands England B5 6AH.Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, molasses, light hoppy, overripped apple, sulfur. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20100116]

Cask at The Bakers Arms, Broad Campden, Glos’, 06.08.10 Pours dark gold, light amber with a white head. Nice refreshing session bitter, in fact this was much more assertive in the bitterness stakes than I can ever recall and I’ve had this a few times now but never rated it. Malty and then drying in the finish, a very reasonable beer but defiantely playing to the far superior Hobsons Twisted Spire which was in very good form and in an altogether different league. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 2/08/10. A rare appearance for this brewer in this city. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head. Light, malty aroma of caramel with a hint of fruit, followed by some leafy hops. Flavour had some cereal malts, a touch of fruity sweetness and flinty edge, before a long, bitter finish. Very good.

Cask. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a small off-white head. Lightly tart minerally aroma. Light body, flat, lightly fruity and spicy with a fairly hoppy finish. 160110

Cask@The Criterion, Leicester. Flat looking amber beer with a very strong and slightly vinous aroma. The flavour is very dry and very well hopped. Overall a watery and very dry beer with not a lot about it.
