Associated Venue: Lamp Tavern
- Out of business
Established in 1993

Having lain idle for many years, the old brewery has been resurrected by brewer Alex Pennycook with consent from Lord Neidpath, the owner of Stanway House.
Integrated into the brewhouse are two coppers built over log fires. Stanway is one of only two log fired breweries in the country. The open cooler is still present although used only for storage now, the rest of the equipment being newly installed.

Perfectly-kept cask at the Lamp Tavern, Birmingham on 30th December 2016. Crystal clear amber with thick, lasting creamy-white foam. Hoppy, yeasty aroma with sweet malts. Rich and intense bitterness in-mouth. A solid, full-on bitter finish. Light mouthfeel and body. Absolutely exquisite.

Cask at the Lamp Tavern; clear golden yellow pour with a thin white head, taste has light citrus, sweet malts, crisp malts, OK.

Cask at the Crown & Trumpet, Broadway, labelled as Broadway Artists Ale. Gold with a thick white head. Rather bland; just a little citrus and dusty straw. The moderate bitterness in the finish added little to what was a somewhat underwhelming brew, albeit one that was inoffensive, smooth and easy to quaff.

Stanway Artists. Cask at the Lamp Tavern, Birmingham on 29th December 2015. Hazy gold with white full-lacing foam. Biscuit malt, citrus hops and pungent yeast in aroma. Citrus and bitter grassiness in mouth with solid malt accompaniment. An intensely bitter finish. Fair bodied with a clinging, somewhat viscous texture.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 3/9/2013. Golden with a decent, off-white head. Big, chewy cereal mlats, with some stone fruits and orange peel before a decent, bitter finish. Good.
