(Draught at St. Urho’s Pub Stout and Porter days 2011) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was medium sized, a little bit sparse and light brown. Aroma had roastedness, hops and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, ash, hops, mildly liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. Good beer from Karhupanimo.

Draught@Karhupanimo, Pori. Deep rubyish amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is bready and caramel malts along with quite a bunch of syrup and some slight chocolate as well. Flavour is very syrupy with some mild rye bready notes as well as some chocolate. Quite a bittery bite in the finish.

Dark ruby color, steady creamy beige head. Aroma is bready malty with some hops and chocolate. Medium-bodied. Quite hoppy Baltic Porter. Some bread, chocolate and black coffee. Some caramel too although this beer is mainly dry. Reasonably balanced finishing to typical Karhupanimo’s sticky bitterness.

Draught @ William K. , Helsinki. Poured clear, copper color with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity hoppy and quite malty. Flavor is malt and very bitter hops, slightly fruity. Alcohol coming through towards the end quite a lot. End is bitter.

Deep amber color, small off-white head. Sticky glueish nose with berries and some hops. Medium-bodied. Harsh, sticky berryish and sweet malty with a bit rough, grassy hops. Quite similar to many other Karhupanimo’s brews and not very altbierish.

Draught @William K, Helsinki. Poured slightly hazy, dark orange color. Thin white head. Malty aroma. Malty flavor, nuts, slightly fruity and bitter. Interesting, very easy to drink. Nice brew!

Draught@Syystober 2010. POured copper color with a creamy white head. Malty caramel aroma. Flavor is sweetish malt and hops with a little metal. Slight hoppy finish. Quite OK Oktoberfest beer.

Draught@Karhupanimo, Pori. Slightly hazy pale brown colour with not too much head, just some bubbly stuff. Aroma is yeast, sweet malts, mild bread and grass. Flavour is similar with some mild yeastyness and ryebread. Dead yeast put into the kettles?

Draught @ Pub Karhupanimo, Hallituskatu 18, Pori, Finland 28100.Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100702]
