RBSG bottle #50 2005 This started out with a huge, creamy light brown head that stayed the whole time. Medium amber color. Light malt and piney hop aroma. Smooth full palate delivers a nicely hopped crisp IPA with a good malt to hop balance in the flavor.

RBSG Bottle # 37 2003 sampled 7/09/05 Heavy malt aroma that comes with caramel, and smoked nuts. The flavor is big with lots going on. The complexities play on as the beer warms. Dark fruits and some alcohol. Deep rich smooth palate.

On draft at DDC RBSG. The nitro tap produced a glass of down cascading foam that slowly transformed itself into a deep black body under a rich creamy foam head that lasted for well over an hour, maybe longer. I nursed on this for the entire night and it never failed. Heavy malt aroma with dark chocolate and strong coffee. Moderately sweet with just the right amount of bitterness, the flavor was near perfect. Well balanced, strong but not cloying, extremely well done. Worthy of all the superlatives that have been used for the description of this beer. Whether you choose to sip on this one for hours or drink it as a session beer, it won’t disappoint you if you love a good Stout.

Reddish-pink color, raspberries, lipstick, cheese and soy in the nose. Sour, sour, sour mouth of raspberries, cheese, earth and cobwebs. Tart raspberry finish. Very nice stuff. Try doing a half and half with one of their stouts for another treat.

Hazy brown orange color. Citrusy, hoppy nose with grapefruit and oranges. Mouth starts malty, then hops, then back to the malts, very well balanced. All finishing dry and puckeringly bitter, which was a nice pleasent surprise.

Hazy mahogony color, bubblegum and whisky dominate the nose. Soft mouth of peat and earth with a warming whisky like finish. I never seem to pick up the maple in DDC beers.
