Amber colour, beige head. Rubbery aroma, also some spices. Rather stinging, tries to be herby but doesn’t succeed so well.

Looks like basic weizen. Aroma of banana and tropical fruits. Decent weizen which should be much more abundant. 2012 edition: darker than original. Slightly bitter and rather sour. Aroma of cranberry.

Light, thick head, slightly bitter. Rubbery aroma. Boring. The old recipe is just as crud as the new one.

Draught@Koulu
Special brewed to celebrate the Turku - The European Capital of Culture 2011. Aura was THE beer brand of Turku, before Hartwall (now Heineken) slaughtered brewery there. This beer is a collaboration of Koulu and Hartwall brewmasters.
This beer has clear, golden color, decent white creamy head. Light sweetish, wort-like aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Sweetish, typical brewpub worty flavors. Finish has nice hoppyness and long malty aftertaste. Saaz is evident there. Ok Czech/Bavarian style pils, probably quite good with salty and greasy food. Nothing to do with Hartwall’s Aura of course.
