Backlog November 2009. Unclear amber body under a white head. Aroma has malt and fruity hops. Taste is sweet malt, fruity hops, hint of caramel and moderate bitterness. Medium body with a sweet and alcoholic aftertaste. Not quite balanced.

Bottle, 8.7% as Kvajj Luskebuksen. Very spicy aroma, herbal with a perhaps metallic touch. Cloudy dark amber colour. Very big stable plasticky off-white head. The flavour is sweet and spicy/herbal. Has the same sort of metallic touch as the aroma, but perhaps it is just a sort of mineral vitamin pill thing. Slightly astringent bitterness.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with stable beige head. Clear aroma of fruit, malt and hops, with notes of caramel and yeast. Sweetish flavour of fruit and caramel malt, with bitter notes of hops and touches of citrus and cinnamon. Bitter and slightly citric finish, with some sweet, fruity hints. High carbonation. Boozy. Not bad, though.

Hazy brown with a small off-white head. Spicy aroma of anise, with dark fruits and caramel. Sweet malty flavour with caramel and dark sugar, and plenty of spice. Too spicy for my taste

Bottle 50 cl. Nutty brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Heavy star anise aroma. Rich, sweet body. A little low in carbonation, some Belgian yeast accents, dark, dried fruits but the star anise really overpowers everything. Warming alcohol finish. 271215

Bottle. Pours hazy copper brown with airy but stable light beige head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of fruit and yeast and hoppy touches. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with fruity notes, complemented by bitter, hoppy and nutty touches. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Medium to high carbonation and medium to rich body. Metallic hints, but fortunately not very pronounced. An okay Brown Ale although not top notch.

Sweetish, malty flavour with notes of fruit and touches of yeast, complemented by bitter, hoppy notes. Rough and bitterish aftertaste. Not that bad but nothing special, either.
