Draft at Rigbys Madison. Cherry mahogany pour nose is caramel and red fruit. Tatses of cherry, caramel, herbal, molasses, earth. Thinner palate than expected. No booze.

16oz can. Buttery crap, the LL way I guess. That old school crappy ringwood flavor not done so well I guess. Really shabby stuff, like the 200th nail the LL coffin.

19.2 ounce can from a Kwik Trip, 7/2/23. Hazy orange, large white head, average retention. Aroma of melon, tropical fruit. Taste is melon, earth, dank, grapefruit. Low bitterness, juicy, no booze. Kinda bland but decent.

12 ounce can from Hy Vee Janesville, 4/27/23. Hazy orange, medium off-white head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit, mango, pale malt. Taste matches. Tad bit thin. Decent.

12 ounce can from Total Wine Madison, 4/2/22. Hazy lemon orange large frothy white head, good retention. Aroma of green hops, doughy malt. Taste is doughy malt, green minty hops. Simple, solid.

12 ounce can from Woodman’s Appleton, 12/24/21. Hazy amber, large fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of caramel. Taste is toffee, apple, stone fruit, caramel. Slick. Nice.

Don't know why they call it a English Porter when it's made with a lager yeast. Also like the can label saying the working man's pint in a 12 oz can. But it's a decent standard smooth porter. Aromas are dark malt, toast, and minerals. Flavors are on the sweet side, like nose, add in a bit of molasses. Decent enough but nothing amazing.

12 ounce can, 3/29/20. Bad advice in the time of COVID19. Hazy amber, large foamy beige head, good retention. Aroma of lemon, grapefruit, dank, pale malt. Taste is dank, lemon, grapefruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, juicy, well balanced, and, yes, old school. Nice beer.

On draft at the Post in Madison. Pours a clear dark mahogany with a tan head. Nutty aroma. Flavors are sweet toffee. Smooth finish.
