Bottle. A still, headless dark brown beer. No lacing. The aroma is sour, lightly vinegary, with roasted malts, hints of licorice and blackberry. Some lemony hints too. Not much alcohol going on, especially considering the ABV. Raisin and oxidation. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and soft on the palate, with a good acidity. Blackberry, raisin, some licorice and roasted malts in the flavor. Alcohol, coffee grit, oak and lemon notes. Lasting finish. Quite pleasant this one, although a bit too much on the vinegar side. 231226

Bottle. A hazy light amber colored drink with almost no head or carbonation. Turpentine and alcohol on the nose, with vinegar, berries and some oak. Sort of fruity. It's tart and medium bodied, still, with a lot of berries in the flavor. Oak, vinegar, lemon and a faint malty hint. Lasting sour, tart finish. Fine to share with four people or more. 231216

It’s medium to full-bodied and softly carbonated, tart and dry. Red berries, vinegar, lemon juice, wood and a spiced hint. Lasting sour finish. Not much Christmas going on here. 231124
