Description
In the winter of 2016, the two Augsburgers, Enzo Frauenschuh and Matthias Gruber, founded FrauGruber Brewing (FRAUenschuh + GRUBER = FrauGruber) and brewed their first beers as Gipsy brewers in spring 2017 in the Old Factory in Gundelfingen. It quickly became clear that all the ideas, experiments and further developments would be very difficult to implement without an own brewery and the freedom that goes with it. In order to grow quantitatively and conceptually, FrauGruber had to grow. We managed to realize our dream of having our own brewery in January 2020. So we came to our goal of creating a kind of "way of life" and building a community with which we can share the enthusiasm and passion for beer. Our aim is to test and live the incredible variety of beer, to act sustainably and especially to give beer a higher value.

330 ml can, bb 07.09.18, from Biervana, München.
Yellow, hazy, milky body, with a medium, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of dankness, pine, earth, apricot juice, orange, grapefruit, some tropical fruits, grass, some oats.
Tastes similar, a bit less spicy, with more sweetness.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes moderate bitter, medium sweet, spicy, a bit juicy, with pine, earth, orange, some apricot, some tropical fruits.
Tasty. Greatly balanced, with lots of fruity, juicy notes, but also with lovely, spicy pine and earth. Drinks very fresh for the ABV. Among my favourite IPAs by FrauGruber so far.

Draught at Ammutsøn, Vienna.
Orange hazy a bit milky body, with a big, creamy, lacing, light yellow head.
Aroma of grapefruit juice, dankness, apricot, lychee, grass, some oats.
Tastes quite similar, with some more honey, cereals, more oats.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes dank, moderate bitter, fruity, a bit juicy, oaty, a bit sweet, with cereals, grapefruit, subtle tropical fruits.
Very nice. A quite typical NE style IPA, but really well balanced and diverse. Especially the nose is lovely, with a great juiciness. Fresh stuff for the ABV.

Can, 6.3%. Mild coffee aroma. Black colour. Good stable dark brown head. The flavour is roasted with a mild, non-bitter coffee note. Has a touch of lactose, but not much. Flavourful, yet mild, and well-balanced.

Can @ St. Patrick's Gone Mad, Sønderborg. Pours hazy very dark brown with airy but stable tan head. Clear aroma of coffee and malt, with estery touches. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of nuts and dark chocolate and touches of malt and hops. Nutty and malty aftertaste with roasty notes. Decent. Very nice.
