Can, 0.375l. Clear deep golden color with medium frothy white head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of grains, yeast, grassy hops and some citrus notes. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, follows refreshing grassy and mild fruity with moderate bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Slightly better than other Aussie lagers...

Draught at Boag’s Brewery and Centre For Beer Lovers, Launceston, Tas. Sampled on August 5, 2013.Apparently more knows as the "Boags Red" if you were to order it in a bar.Even with the "Ale" in the name it is actually a lager.Clear golden color, white head. Malty, some paper, stale, vegetable taste. Stale, paper aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet, malty scent. Our tour guide raved about this beer, but for me it was like drinking water that had had cardboard soak in it for the longest time, not enjoyable taste at all.
