This reminds me of the New Glarus Imperial weizen. Loads of hops in the aroma and flavor, especiall y for the style. Good, crisp flavor with citrus and grapefruit, with a sour citrus bite. An interesting fusion of styles, like an ipa and weizen.

Bottled. A hazy light amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of butter, hops, citrus, and diacethyl. The flavor is sweet with a edge of acidity combined with notes of malt, citrus, and butter, leading to a dry bitter finish with hints of plastic.

Bottle: Pours a dark brown/black color with a brown head. Aromas of chocolatey and roasty goodness. Hints of molasses. Flavor is mocha based with a light roasty malt feel into some smoky notes. Seems to be a bit of dark fruit in there too. Different from the recent impys I’ve sampled and rewarding in that aspect. Thanks Jordan.

22oz bottle-pours a big shaving cream light tan head with lots of lacing and mahogany color. Aroma is nice citrus/earthy hops, some medium malt. Taste is nice citrus/earthy/metallic hops-bitter, some medium malt, nutty, alcohol. Surprisingly on the light side of medium body for a some what thin mouth feel, although a good American strong ale.

Bottle. Hazy amber. Diminishing white head. Hop aroma — flowers and grapefruit. Hints of malty caramel. The flavor is lightly sweet and moderately bitter and moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture. Very dry, peppery finish that is lasting. Soft carbonation that is slightly fizzy in the mouth. This is either a weak IPA or a strong ESB — a U.S. version in either case. Interesting, but the dryness seems to drive the flavors apart more than they should be in an ESB.
