Golden ale with a thick off white head. Light honey malt but not much in floral hops in aroma. Nice cookie dough malt with restrained bitterness and good citrus notes, lingering in finish. Some nice butterscotch and earthy nuttyness gives this ESB some good character. A lighter ESB fine for summer.

This pours a dark amber clear body with a large, creamy, off-white head. Mild citrus aroma. The flavor starts off bitter, with a buttery malty middle that finishes with a long lingering bitter finish.

Lightly hazed gold amber ale with a thick big bubbled white head. Strong diacetyl nose giving way to a sightly perfumey light hoppy aroma, with fruity ester apple notes. More malty than hoppy, with sweet fruity finish, and a solvent like mouthfeel. Lighter bodied. Bought in November 2004, at the brewery.

Lightly hazy golden ale with a thick compact bubbled white head. Perfumy apricot aroma, lightly soapish. Fresh grassy malt taste with some of the apricot coming clearly in the finale with the hops, a bit of an oily mouthfeel. Light bodied. Quaffable summer beer.

This pours a small, frothy, off white head that is supported by a hazy medium yellow/orange body. Fruity, funky, Belgian aroma that lead into a sweet fruity flavor that finishes nicely with some dryness and a bit of alcohol. Not bad really and a bit different.

A hazy red beer with a nice dense off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel as well as some hops - the alcohol is not present. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and hops - again - the alcohol can’t be tasted, but it burs the mouth slightly. The end is dry, bitter, and a little woody - a nice Barley Wine.

Golden-amber colour. Bright. Aroma shows plasticy phenols, hitns of malt, apple and a bit of alcohol. Fairly hot with lots of sticky residual sugars and plastic overtones. Nothing in there to make me want to drink it again.

Acquired via trade. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a medium thin off-white head that has fair retention. Thin and sticky lacing. Strong roasted malt aroma, with touches of caramel and fruit. Pretty full-bodied, and I like the style that blends characteristics of a Scotch Ale and Porter, although to be honest if I didn’t read the label I would have guessed just Scotch Ale. Nice roasty flavor with malt, dark fruit, caramel and a hint of chocolate. The finish is a little smokey and has a nice bitterness. Enjoyable brew.
