Orange to red ale with an off white head. Light malty aroma with some sharp hops. Sweet malt with intense lingering hops and citrus. Medium bodied. A bit too much hops for the style, more like a double IPA. Un gros merci a Dumdum!

Coppery colored body supports a nice firm tight head of white foam that gives off a good spruce aroma. This has more of a dry palate than a bitter one. The body compliments the flavors well, not too sweet, not too bitter and light yet not watery. Different and drinkable.

Clear medium amber color with a surprisingly good off white head that is quite persistent. Marshmallow malt aroma with some hops in the background. Light fruit begins to come through. Mild flavored for the style. Predominant hops with a mild malt background. The alcohol is completely hidden. I’ll bring the others of the four pack out in time and re-rate this one. I’m interested to see what it will become.

Clear amber with an average size head that starts to fall quickly. Malt aroma, no hops coming through. The flavor is balanced but lacks the intensity of a really great Pale Ale. Slightly astringent palate with a lack of finish. Light bodied and drinkable, but nothing remarkable overall.

Medium amber with a fair head. Weak malt aroma, no hops. The flavor is nicely bitter with an even dryness on the tongue. Not heavily hopped, could pass this one off as a Pale Ale.

Bottle provided by Larry (goldtwins) via trade. Deep red-orange body, medium/thin clumping cream head. Deep caramely aroma, bready, with big piney and resiny C-hops and hints of dark fruit. Rather undeveloped caramel body with some dark fruits, very sweet, balanced (or overbalanced) by resiny pine sap and grapefruit rind hops. A bit "hot," a function of its age. Sweet and lightly tangy but not all that complex. Could use some cellar time.

Copper coloured body with almost no head. Aroma of caramel, peaches, malt, peanut brittle and toffee. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavour with sweetness from fruits largely noticeable. Aftertaste shows harsh cardboard and alcohol with malt noticeable as well. Overall, not so great. I’ve had this before, but this time Jon[R888710] is the one that gives me a beer from upstate new york. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York on 18-September-2004.

Clear golden colour with a thinnish white head. Aroma of subtle American hops with some rice & sugar and nothing else. Light-bodied (as expected); Mild hop flavour with some sweetness & not much else. Aftertaste bland and not pleasant at all. Overall, horrible-but I wanted to try another inferior beer from this brewery, because I was leaving from New York a week later. I sampled this 12 ounce bottle purchased from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York on 30-July-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Hazy gold ale with a foamy white head. Fresh malt aroma, lightly fruity. Nice bodied, with lots of apple and sweetness, with a lactic final.
