650mL Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is very malty with caramel. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a bitter malt and a bit watery. Not too much going on with this one.

650 mL bottle. Pours a clear orange golden color with a small off white head. The aroma is a sweet malt with floral and citrus. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste a sweet hops with a bitter finish. Easy to drink and hides the alcohol well. An impressive Double IPA from Steamworks.

Bottle design has been changed quite a bit since the picture was taken. Aroma is heavy hops with a bit of bitter apple. Pours with a foamy, white head. Excellent lacing but poor retention. Body is slightly hazy with small particles floating around. Golden hue. Very hoppy taste with a flower hoppy finish that is a bit too bitter. Watery mouthfeel with lively carbonation and a slightly astringent finish. A hop monster.

22 oz. bottle from Zinister, best before March 2008. Pour is clear orange-amber with visible carbonation bubbles and a nice 2 inch off white head. Aroma of sweet, wet, fruity hoppiness. Some maltiness in the nose also. Fainter, but present is some resin pine hops. Taste mirrors the aroma, with big fresh hoppy (orange) fruitiness, some malt in the backbone and a nice bitter pine hop finish. Palate is medium to thin. Drinkable IIPA, thanks Mike!

12 oz. bottle courtesy of KAggie97. Pour is clear golden red with a white head. Aroma slight sourness and not much else. Taste is fairly bland, some malt, some hops, and a bit more of the sour. Overall, basic, simple straight forward Pale Ale. Thanks for this one Kevin.

22 oz bottle from Zinister. Pour is amber copper red, clear, with an off white head. Aroma of faintly sweet caramel and a bit of metallic chemical. Taste has the malt, and the not so good metallic. I did not find this as offensive as Mike and Kevin, but it wasn’t good.

2009-05-29, blind tasting at Papsø’s, 8-5-8-5-17=43
Hazy copper color; medium head. Nice fruity American hops (Simcoe? Chinook?), ending bit resiny and earthy. Good caramel flavor, sweetish, missing the darker side, therefore more appreciated, with very good fruity hop (bitter oranges first, then tangerine and mango touch). Well balanced. Perfect mix of caramel sweetness and fruity hops, even if we start knowing this, therefore not original. Excellent.

2007-09-20, bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007, 7-4-8-5-16=40
Hazy copper color. Medium hoppy aroma, resiny, sweet, very light cheese (Roquefort). Powerful, good mouthfeel, correctly sweet and strongly hopped, resiny. Excellent.
