Beautiful dark amber color, medium sized head. Some caramel aroma, too mild. Nice caramel flavour, but low bitterness.
Quite simple.

22 oz bottle, shared by fiulijn (thanks Alex), pours a transparent dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of scotch malts, and light whiskey. Flavour is quite rich, full of caramel malts, dark fruits and candied sugar. Quite a round body, with a good balanced of flavours - no cloying sweetness, nor weakness in the body in any way. Great stuff.

Beautiful amber color with copper hue, small creamy head. Moderate malt and caramel aroma, light fudge. Good malt flavor, some caramel, quite sweet but not syrupy; strong bitterness with nice hop resins and light fruitiness. Bold Barley Wine. The final is expectedly long and powerful.
Straightforward American Barley Wine, very good.

On tap at Brouwer's Caf for Big Wood '12, pours black with a medium dense, foamy tan head. Aroma of bourbon barrels, chocolate, and light roast character. Flavour is dominated by the bourbon barrels, though the porter qualities are still somewhat prevalent - faint notes of chocolate underpin all this. Soft palate, with the bourbon dominating. Excellent stuff.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a cloudy orangey amber with a medium white head. Aroma of shitloads of resinous hops, plenty of tropical fruits (mango, pineapple), and a whopping caramel malt backbone. Flavour reveals insane amounts of bitter resinous hops, lots of bitter zesty grapefruit peel, and more dry hops. Coats the palate with dry -hoppy goodness. A most excellent harsh, palate-scorching IIPA.

Hazy light amber color, creamy head. Light malt aroma. Malt flavor, pleasant, some toffee; the mouthfeel is smooth, the bitterness strong, with some resins.
Pleasant Ale.

Cloudy amber color, with medium sized head. Nice aroma, toasted malt and biscuits. Good flavor of malt, toasted malt, some toffee; strong bitterness, very resiny (but not piney), with light fruity touch.
A very good thirstquencher, bold; the biscuity notes are appreciated.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a murky dark amber with a small white head. Aroma of sweet treacle toffee and candied sugar - seems sickly sweet. Flavour is cloyingly sweet and boozy, with treacle toffee, loads of sugar and booze. Finishes sickly sweet and boozy. Good, but this good use some refining.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe, pours black with a tan head. Deep, rich aroma of roasted malt, oatmeal, a little wood and subtle bourbon. Flavour begins with roasted malt, mocha / espresso, caramel, and finishes with oak, bourbon and oatmeal. Very warming, silky texture. Delicious.
