On tap at Galbraith's. Pours hazy orange yellow and took a lot of effort to pour. Mango, passionfruit, grass, touch watery flavour, touch of funk, lots of peach, touch chalky. Lovely soft body. Not sure.

I chose this beer yesterday when it was sunny so I’m bummed today is rainy and gray. Funk Estate Jungle Boogie 5.5% Blood Orange Sour Loved the can’s design so I wanted to try it. Clear golden brass in color with a fizzy effervescent white head that vanished in an eye blink. The aroma is those wafer rice/wheat cakes with toe jam funk and slight acidic citrus in the depths. I’m guessing it is a kettle sour. Light bodied, it is semi-dry and has an acidic tart citrus with lactic acid and mild funk. Kind of middle of the road but alright. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Rising Tide. Pours brown. Apricot, lemon, caramel, grapefruit, little tart, nice sweetness, nice bitter finish. Good full smooth body. Well balanced.

The NZ tap takeover week has started today at Takanoya. I’m taking this chance to try something from Funk Estate. Funk Estate Pink Drink IPA 5.2% An opaque gold with a sharp funky semi-acidic nose. Medium bodied with a sharp carbonation. The taste has an earthy peppery Brett leatherish funk with mild hop candies citrus notes. It kind of makes me think of a Belgian IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml can sampled during Aussie trip 2017-18. Pours clear golden with minimal white head. Aroma has light malts, citrus, light acidity. The taste has light tartness, citrus, white grape skins, lightly hoppy. Light to medium bodied, with light carbonation. Semi dry, lightly tart finish. Very sessionable but not a lot to it

440ml can. Pours bright orange. Lactic yoghurt acidity, strawberry, prickly lemon juice sharpness and a nice sweet berry brioche finish. Nice carbonation. Good.
