With blood orange, lemon and passionfruit, forgetwhat you know about beer and just embrace the sour fruit characters. This hazy and slightly pink beer has a touch of citrus on the nose and a massive attack of sour on the tongue. Brewed for GABS 2016

[33cl can from Beer52.] A pale straw coloured pour with a ring of white head and lively carbonation; blood orange aroma; sour gooseberry and citrus taste, like a good NZ Sauvignon Blanc; and a fresh wine-like finish. Rather good, if you like sour beers.

Can, 5.3%. Weak citric and fruity aroma. Clear copper coour. Very small white head. The flavour is slightly citric and a little papery. Has some citrus fruit, must be blood orange, but not very citric. Teaish and slightly funky finish.

Can. Pours clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of orange and hops, with touches of yeast. Dry, citric flavour of blood orange, with touches of hops and mild, sweetish notes of yeast. Estery and citric aftertaste with malty touches. Refreshing and not bad, just more like lemonade than beer. I had also expected the blood orange notes to be sweeter.
