Tall can from Bottle Shop camping on Sharp Island. Aroma is coffee and roasted dark chocolate. Taste is powdery dark chocolate with rich coffee and sweet milk creaminess. Palate is rich and slightly chalky, finish is bitter coffee. Nice.

From a 440ml can on 29/12/2023 (shared with Ed). Pours a deep deep brown with a medium tan head that dissipates quickly. The nose is strongly boozy, with lot's of whisky and chocolate and dried fruit. Ridiculously intense on the sip, presenting every bit of its 12.5% and perhaps more. You get dark chocolate, raisins, roasted/burnt malt with lashings of whisky and sherry. Has a medium roasty bitterness finishing with a hint of sour. Syrupy palate with moderate carbonation. A good, complex, super intense, boozy sipper

From a 440ml can on 26/12/2023 (can no. 1916 of 2000, shared by Ed with thanks). Pours a clear dark amber with virtually no head. Smells of dark and dried fruit and Belgian yeast. Tastes sweet up front - with fruit cake, raisins, caramel and honey, followed by a strong, boozy, sharp citrus and spice finish. Syrupy mouthfeel with light but fizzy carbonation. Bold, complex and balanced. Excellent.

Can. Hazy amber with some floaties. A cm of white head. 3- Aroma of mango, dope, breadcrust, old oranges. Light bodied, cleaner than it looks. More citrus than suggested by the aroma, tropical fruit, some berries. Enough bitterness. Good quaffer.

Can. Polluted sunset orange with a small white head. Sharp enough grapefruit aroma that I checked the ingredients. Some tropical fruit and crackers too. Light bodied. Almost sour citrus with tropical fruit behind before a finish that's modestly bitter and slightly astringent. Cheerfully refreshing.

From a 440ml can on 28/9/2023. Pours a slightly hazy amber with virtually no head. Has a pleasant nose featuring Belgian yeast, and dark and dried fruit. The falvour follows suit, but adding some Christmas cake and raisiny goodness. Medium bodied with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel, and moderate carbonation. An very pleasant and easy drinking strong dark Belgian.
