Cask-conditioned at the Staffordshire Beer festival, Seven Stars, Bristol 6/10/10. Deep gold with next to no head. Aroma of sweet malts with a touch of citrus hops. Flavour of cereal malts, more citrus fruit, with a green, herbal edge and dry finish. Ok.

On gravity at Worcester Beer Festival, 14/08/10. Deep gold in colour with a decent white head. Aroma of peaches, mandarins and grainy malts. Slightly yeasty taste, with tangy, almost sour oranges and pineapples, some floral hops and dry finish. A bit odd, but still drinkable.

15th April 2008 A couple of month past BBE date. Very slight oxidisation. Mild fruit with a little hop and a dusty note before the dry finish.

Cask at the Cambridge Blue, Cambridge. Gold with a thin white head; orangey malt aroma; fruit malt flavours with more orange; the finish is lightly bitter and peppery. A good all-round bitter.

Golden with a small white head. Aroma of husky and grainy malt with fruit. Dry, malty and fruity flavour

Cask (handpump) @ The KIT (Kelham Island Tavern), 62 Russell Street, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England S3 8RW.Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, smoke - peat, overriped fruity, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy citrus shell bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090417]

Bottle. Golden beer with a strong head. The aroma is dry, roasted and toffee, and the flavour is very bitter, very dry, and well hopped with a slightly yeasty finish. Overall a nice well hopped and very dry beer.

Bottle. Brown beer with a light head. The aroma is vinous, toffee and hopped. The flavour is strongly hopped, toffee and vinous. Overall a good well hopped, toffee and roasted beer.

Cask (handpump) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.[ As Titanic Shugborough Farmer’s Half ]. Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, old malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (070808)

Hand-pulled cask. Golden body with white patches on the surface. Dry hopped aroma. More dry hops in the flavour with a quite solid bitter ending. Medium bodied and refreshing (GBBF, 08.08.2008).
