Dans notre plat pays au nombre incalculable de bières standardisées au nom de la tradition et des recettes éculées si chères à nos industriels.

No Science veut, à l’instar d’un trop petit nombre de brasseries chez nous, vous faire partager ses propres interprétations de recettes dans des styles minoritaires au pays des bières d’abbaye : des I.P.A, Porters, Bitters ou Singles Hop au goût franc, à l’amertume houblonnée dominante sans lourdeur, ni surenchère excessive sur le taux d’alcool.

Fans de longue date de musiques électrifiées qui dépotent et nous influencent jusque dans le choix du nom des bières, nous aimerions apporter avec No Science cette petite note dissonante, ce grain irréductible de distorsion qui peut peut-être indisposer mais qui confère aux choses et évènements cette qualité trop rare des expériences uniques.

Draft @ ML Fontainas, def an IPA no Belgian ale. Dorée/orange sur léger voile, col crémeux blanc. Arôme au bouquet bien houblonné virant sur léger tropical et effet herbacé. Malté modéré alternant sut pâle et caramel. Palais est bien houblonné avec un bon renforcement tropical; presque jus de mangue. Profil reste cependant un peu sec avec un amérisant fleuri mais également tirant sur la levure. Retrouve une petite touche de pelure d’orange voire bergamote et un fini légèrement épicé. Levure revient encore sur le toute fin.

Tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, 7th June 17. Pours straw colour and slightly hazy. Aroma is fresh grass, brewery malt and yeast. Taste is fresh and bitter, fantastic bitter malty fresh linger. Great.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 19 May 2017) Hazy golden colour with creamy, off-white head. Malty nose with grainy malt, cereal, grass and citrus. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, bread, grass and fresh citric/floral hops in a finish with a balanced bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 19 May 2017) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, chocolate truffles and sweet liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, creamy coffee, liquorice and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Solid and well made porter, both heavy and smooth at the same time. Very nice.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 19 May 2017) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of apricots, orange peel, bread and some spices. Malty, fruity taste with bread, apricots, orange peel and a generous earthy/citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and refreshing, with a slightly spicy touch. Nice one.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 17 May 2017) Golden colour with dense, white head. Fruity, slightly malty nose with bread, grass and citrus. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of bread, grain, citrus, grass, hints of yeast and a fresh citric bitterness in the finish. Light body, quite dry. On the thin side, but fresh, tasty and highly drinkable. Nice one.

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Bruxelles. Pours black with beige to brownish head. Heavy roasted, malty, coffee, chocolate, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Maybe bit too roasty for my taste.
