Bouteille 33cl @ Beerstorming, partagée avec Kraddel & 77ships. Orangée présentant un léger voile, col épais blanc. Arôme au bouquet offrant un nez finemetn épicé rappelant le poivre, petit note houblonnée arrive en rétro. Le tout garde une fine douceur venant des fèves de tonka? Palais est léger, poivré, avec une fin orienté pils, léger biscuité, houblonné fleuri sur la fin. Le tout est doux, avec un profil de fève qui semble s’être atténué avec le temps.

Bouteille 50cl @ Beerstorming, partagée avec Kraddel & 77ships. Couleur orangée, col fin blanc. Arôme au nez parfumé offrant de belles effluves de thé noir fumé- Lapsang, petite note épicée perce en rétro avec un poivré qui reste assez discret. Profil est malté agrémenté d’une bonne dose de fumé qui reste discret, le poivre donne un petit boost niveau épice et le tout sous couvert d’une levure belge, malt pâle pils qui virent sur un fin ester. Je retrouve rien au niveau des graines de tournesol, peut-être en cause la date d’embouteillage.

Arôme est léger, pointe épicé sutout du gingembre avec un léger rétro-nasal versant vers un léger moutarde, le tout conserve cependant un arôme malté pils. Palais est léger, fin au niveau des épices, peut-être que l’age de la bouteille y est pour qcq chose? Le wasabi relève un peu le tout niveau épice et tranche bien avec le gingembre mais à aucun moment la bière ne semble tomber dans le surfait. L’épicé, que j’apprécie, reste modeste, et à cela je me rappelle à Sankt Gallen Baran Ale, bière nippone mettant aussi un wasabi bcp plus en avant. Retrouve un final présentant qcq sucre résiduel, base pils pour effervescence moyenne-faible.

Once again Beerstorming beers seem to not only feature a lot of ingredients that quickly fade, the base beer seems to quickly turn as well, starts tasting like a rancid moldy bathroom rug for me & all of the being lower ABV beers probably doesn’t help. The issue here might also be that they don’t have a bottling installation, all of these beers were just filled from the tap with no re-fermentation or CO2 counter pressure (I hope that the last remark makes some sense since I don’t really know anything about brewing). Hazy golden orange, white bubbles. Nose is milky spoiled lemon, esters, something moldy. Very fizzy body, too much so, some spoiled yeast. Taste is very fizzy mineral, boozy esters, lime, moldy, spoiled, milky. Not too good by this point. This is only 3 months old, one would expect for beer to keep better than this but than again see remarks about bottling etc.

The brewer let us smell some tonka beans, very sweet fruity marzipan vanilla near chocolate dark fruits with a light pleasant medicinal note. In the beer itself they have strongly faded, leaving lots of unusual chili notes which are akin to green paprika or something like that, not flawed beer but actual green paprika, this is a very odd and hard to describe beer by this point. Wonder how it was 2 – 3 months ago back when the tonka beans dominated? Pours a very dark hazy orange with a big white bubbles for a head. Nose is lemon & lime with the medicinal qualities of the toka beans which I got when I smelled them but not the sweetness itself. Body is a bit fizzy. Taste is fizzy lime, chemical tonka bean note with mint, green paprika chili, pepper, white grapes, sweet lime. Odd beer but an interesting & challenging one.

Pours rather unclear yellow, strong smell, sweet, spiced. Mild bitterness. Taste is sharp, sweet, green hops, mild spiced. Very complex, bitter, overcarbonated .

Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is green, vegetables, very full, some smoke. Taste is sharp, bit bitter, some smoke. Decent.
