Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Weak aroma of caramel. Dry and malty flavour with a caramel note. Clean, thin and boring beer.

Bottled at pre-RBJG festivities in Kyoto. Cloudy yellow. Less estery and phenolic than th Ko Mugi/Silver bottle. Sweet wheat malt eased out by spritzy carbonation. Less flavour than the ko Mugi, but possibly also more of a refreshing summer drink.

Not sure if I have the right beer, but it tastes like a German hefeweizen, so best guess. Blue bottle, blue and white label says Premium Unfiltered Beer. Aroma of yeast. Cloudy straw. Full bodied, grapefruit and bubblegum. Nice enough.Earlier Rating: 1/3/2009 Total Score: 3.2Not sure if I have the right beer, but it tastes like a German hefeweizen, so best guess. Can. Cloudy, slightly glowing orange-brown color with a tall, fluffy head. Caramel malt aroma of moderate richness biscuits, with a bit of hops. Slight fruit, citrus, but not great. Flavor also malt centered, with decent cereal richness, some fruit, and a bit of citrus hops. Not bad, but a bit boring. Could use more hopping for sure.

Tap. Light golden color. Aroma of wheat malt and banana and clove, less fruity, little sour. Rich, rather sweet wheat malt flavor. No citrus, little sour taste at all. Lots of banana and clove. Somewhat cake-like, but not over-bearing. Rich, with a reasonably full palate and medium carbonation. A fuller, more contemplative weizen than the Silver bottle. Better in the cold weather.

Bottle, labeled "Silver Bottle". Relatively yellow, light and glowing, very cloudy with a medium head. Medium rich aroma of cloves, bananas, wheat malt. Not particularly sweet, with a good dose or sour/citrus. Light, tangy flavor with lots of bananas, cloves, citrus. Refreshing, light in body, somewhat spritzy. A lighter style weizen, on the tangy side. Very refreshing and tasty. No faults. This bottle says it can be stored at room temperature, so I supposed it is pasteurized.

Bottle, courtesy of faroeviking. It pours a clear, amber body with a beige head. Vegetables, caramel and burnt plastic in the aroma. The flavor is better, but it’s still not a very good one, with caramel, roasted malt and some fresh and dried fruits. Medium body. Roasted finish. Not a well-crafted beer. (080823)
