About
Rustic family owned and operated restaurant featuring farm to table menu, gluten free and vegetarian selections, sustainable business practices including solar and biomass, 20 handcrafted award winning brews.

Current owner, Tom Mills, has owned and operated The Flying Goose since its start in 1993. In 1996, he gave what was known originally as The Four Corners Grille a unique identity by creating a micro-brewery. Mills put many years into rebuilding what is now The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille, a casual, family friendly restaurant and brewery now managed by his three kids Brett, Jordan, and Brianna. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment to all those who walk through our doors. Whether it be for a quick bite, a cold brew, or a place for family and friends to gather, we extend our “home” to you.

Over the years we have learned what is most important to us and the values we practice as a small business. We focus on sourcing locally as much as possible and are thankful for the wonderful relationships created with local purveyors. We became NH’s 1st solar powered brewery in 2011 and continue to find ways to use clean energy as a sustainable business.

The memories, laughs and relationships created here are what we live for! We have been fortunate to work with and serve many incredible people through the years. We are grateful for our amazing “Goose Family” and are thankful for the opportunity to serve you.

Orange brown. No head. Up front Malts. Sort of floral. Mango. Sort of tropical but very faint. Yeah. Very tropical. However it is true to the style. It has that sort of bland aged hops bitterness. Not my favorite in a beer. Kiwi finish. Dry bitterness. 80% carbonation. Medium body.

Semi hazy golden brown. No head light lacing. Citra hops. No honey. Maybe wild flowers and great fresh cut grass out side. Yeah. Up front grapefruit and mild honey. Metallic and high IBU finish. No hiding the bitterness of this. 70% carbonation. Light body. It's alright.

"Served in a Pilsner glass, I asked that I was able to have the 2009 and 2011 Isle of Pines (both on tap) served to me at the same time to compare to two tastes and the affects of 24 months of aging on a Barleywine that hasn’t left the brewery. This review is for the 2011 IoP Barleywine --- A - Dark amber color with a very thin head less than one finger. It was poured into a Pilsner glass which I found a bit odd. S - Brown sugar and honey entered my nose quickly and stayed with me. I could have sworn there was an oakiness to this beer but maybe I’m mistaken. T - Very beautiful taste for a medium bodied beer. As with most barley wines, the flavor feels thin until you swallow and then an eruption of tastes happen. I picked up watermelon hints that paired well with the sugary taste M - Very little carbonation, insanely dry with a champagne feel. An unobtrusive beer for a bowl of clam chowder or chili. O - I’d love to have this beer again. Just thinking about it is making me hungry. --- The 2009 IoP was similar to the 2011 but aging did a few things to it. If you can get to Flying Goose before the 2009 runs out (it’s on limited pour right now), do it. The 2009 was much darker and very cloudy, the brown sugar was more pronounced and other flavors were more muted and, of course, the carbonation was distant and fleeting from the mouthfeel. I preferred the 2009 to 2011 and I’d give it a 4.5 on Taste, Mouthfeel and Smell."

"I’m not a fan of ales. This beer was memorable despite the taste let down but I’d love to stop by for another. A - Poured into a pint glass with a 3 finger head. They call it Golden Ale with good reason as cloudy gold liquid barely let any light through. The head subsided slowly. S - The smell was sweet with traces of pine and marshmallows. Lavender also hit my nose. T - If the taste matched the smell, I’d be leaving a more positive review. A mix between Budweiser and Yuengling with traces of a great beer buried between the two. Low ABV and very light hops meant the beer wasn’t full by any means and left me unsatisfied with the residual tastes staying around for a while long after I finished swallowing. M - Carbonation explodes with one swish and sticks around for a while. I enjoyed the mouthfeel if only it tasted better. O - I’d get the beer again if my entree was a plate of chicken wings or cheese fries. I wasn’t too impressed with it but, as another reviewer mentioned, if you’re driving through, avoiding the 9%+ ABV beers is probably a good idea. For a low ABV beer that’s light on the stomach, I was satisfied but, at Flying Goose, this wouldn’t be my first choice out of their selection of 15 on tap."

On tap. At brew pub 02- 14- 2011. Deep Dark brown, not exactly black. Nose of roasted malt and Light chocolate. Taste is lightly sweet from the chocolate, Medium body, with a slight watery mouthfeel that doesn’t detract from the overall drinkability of this brew. GetS much, MUCH better as it warms. This was my second favorite brew at the brew pub. I liked this sweet stout.

Draft @ brew pub. Nice banana clove nose with thin whitehead produced pretty good lacing. hazy yellow in color couldn’t see through. Taste is traditional hefeweizen. Medium body. Mouth watering makes you desire more. Awesome brew from an American brew master, Germany in a glass. I had 3 pints, VERY good.

Draft. Nearly clear brown in color hop present in the aroma. Cascade or centennial hops throughout the sip. Hop heads would like this one. Not real bitter so even a non-hoppy person can still enjoy.

Draft @ brew pub. hazy copper in color, thin white head producing huge lacing that layered the glass. Aroma and taste mirror each other. a nice grainy taste with a light hop bitterness. Behind the hop is a distinct corn finish. Reminds me of peeling a old husk of corn off the stock. Another fine style from this brew master.

Slightly transparent copper in color, thick white head with ok lacing and almost no nose. Taste is exclusively sweet malt, not much else going on. Very light; not much flavor.
