Draft @ brew pub. Deep amber with thin white head showing decent retention. Nose is a pleasant mixture of oak, sugar and caramel. Brewer used English malts giving some toffee. The hops also have a English feel, very Earthy. Somewhat balanced. It’s a good brew if you like a English Ales. Nothing bad to report, I just need to be in the right mood to drink an English Ale.

Draft @ brew pub. Shaker shows a mostly clear amber color with good retention. Nose is lots of spice and mild yeast. The flavor is over the top spice with the before mentioned yeast. Texture is extremely dry, so dry that it gives a cotton mouth feel. Not the best that this brew master has come up with.

Draft @ Milly’s. Name on blackboard was marked without the “smoke” in front of sour brown. Got absolutely no smoke in nose or flavor. Darker brown color, some red hues. Small off-white head with good retention. Carbonation was normal. Nose is moderately acidic with over ripe berries and some light oak. Taste follows nose with backbone of malt. Dry texture with a medium body. I like were the brew master was going with this one. I didn’t have time to ask if he used any bugs in this beer. It was a bit more tart then sour. I didn’t really get any Brett from it. Decent.

Growler thanks to Jcwattsrugger. Pours light caramel with off white head. Nose/taste of pineapple, caramel malt, bitter bitter hops and dank resin. Medium body. Finishes bitingly bitter resin.

Tap @ brew pub. Pint. Very thin small off white head. Steady carbonation. Nose of caramel and nuts. Taste is much the same. Light barley notes. The noticeable barley gives this a nice touch. Lighter side of medium body. It’s a very standard and straight forward Brown. Well-crafted and easy to drink.
