Slightly hazy copper coloured body with a good, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of light grassy and herbal hops, some malt, a little flowers and a touch of cardboard. Light to Medium-bodied; Good herbal and grassy hoppy flavour at first with a little mellow maltiness, some light sweetness and a pungent stale and slightly offensive hoppy flavour. Aftertaste shows some discrete bitterness, a touch of an earthy bite from the malt and some off-flavours that might stem from some inferior ingredients. Overall, not a horrible IPA, but not one worthy of searching out. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage for US$7.36 for a 6-pack on 18-November-2011 sampled at home in Washington on the day the NY Giants won the Super Bowl, 05-Feburary-2012.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice pine note with a hint of citrus and a good amount of bread. Flavor starts with pine but transfers to more of a grain and bread finish. Meh.

A hazed dark amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, an intense vinous caramel malt with good c-hops, herbal, clove field, quite nice. In mouth, a classic hopped up IPA with grapefruit finale, sustained c-hops, a bit musty but good.

Key Food, Brooklyn six-pack ($8): Murky brownish amber with a slightly off-white head. Aroma of sugary malts and fruit with subdued hops. Taste is not very hoppy... has some in the finish along with bitterness then. Might be leaning towards more malty than hoppy. Not that great, but hey it was cheap and perfectly acceptable. Maybe more like an ESB.

Bottle. Drank fresh and backlogged. Pitch black with almost no head. Roasted malt aroma, a bit sweet, coffee and chocolate. A well roasted, sweet stout flavor. Not overly sweet, very burnt malt flavor with coffee and chocolate. A long-lasting roasted malt finish. Very well balanced. A sweet stout type, but not too sweet. Creamy and slightly milky. Very good. Not especially wintery, but great.

Started off my vacation in Disney and stayed at Saratoga Springs resort so figured grab a Saratoga Lager and even though it cost me 6 dollars for a bottle I enjoyed it. It was malty and flavorful. poured a deep amber. And a decent start to my vacation
