[50cl bottle from a Nisa store in Milton, Staffs.] A [pale amber pour with a fast fading white head; floral aroma; biscuity malt body with some citrus and straw. A straightforward golden ale, but also very drinkable.

[50cl bottle from a Londis in Milton, Staffs.] A pale golden amber pour with a lively white head and heavy carbonation; aroma of citrus and leafy hops; pleasantly bitter with a sweet light biscuity malt base; and a crisp English hop finish. Much better than anticipated.

21/10/2018. Can of the Original Bitter, 3.6% abv, from a skanky mini-market in Skegness run by a very rude chap indeed. The buying experience was marginally worse than the beer. Poured clear amber with a foamy off-white head. Aroma malt, toffee, fruit, berries and metal. Medium plus sweetness, moderate but slightly unpleasant bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Metallic, berry bitterness to finish. Just fair.

Ligh amber color. Easy drinking with just enough malt sweetness and hops to go down easy.

Cask. Fagan’s, Sheffield. Only called in here cos it’s pissing down with rain, and I needed a piss. I sort of did my beer drinking growing up on beer like Tetley’s. This ain’t that beer, but then I’m not that young. Oh, and by the way, what’s that fucken towel hung up in the bogs?
