440ml can. Opalescent, auburn colour with ruby shimmer and average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Smoky, caramel malty and mildly grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of smoked wood, hints of smoked ham, smoked eel, weak nutty overtones. Taste is mildly smoky, caramel malty with low residual sweetness, mildly bitter, grassy hoppy and minimally mineral, diluted hints of malt lozenge, caramel, smoked wood.
Watery texture, slightly dry, almost a tad metallic, repellent palate, medium, dense, foamy, mildly prickly carbonation.
Very nice nose, very pleasant - if possible -, "clean", woody smokiness (no peat, nothing burnt or the like), sadly a tad watery and anaemic concerning taste - pretty good.

Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. It pours lightly hazy chestnut brown with a thick fluffy khaki head. The aroma is earthy, wood, brown bread, malt loaf, toasted fruit loaf, toasted nut and resin. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, resinous, sappy, grassy, leafy, earthy, brown bread, ryvita, toasted nut, wood and toasty spice with a drying, woody finale. Medium body and decent cask carbonation. Flavourful and robust. A satisfying sup.

Weich rauchiger, moderat herber Beginn. Angenehme Süße, die Herbe steigt an, gleichzeitig sinkt die Intensität des Raucharomas. Moderat bitter, getreidig, trockener Hintergrund. Nettes süffies Rauchbier, wenn auch etwas harsch. 9/11/8/8/9/8

44cl can, BB 02/07/2026, batch# 003.
