On tap at Freelander, pours a hazy amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out piney hops, with metallic notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is loaded with piney hops, with a crisp biscuity malt. Very piney and west coast-style. Good stuff.

Draft at Smith Street Taps, Singapore. Poured a very slightly hazy golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, yeasty, big peach citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter sweet, with a crisp, fresh, mineral, juicy peach, light dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. When they say peach “invasion” they really mean it!!

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet tart lemon malt with light Epsom salts, light Brett, very nice. In mouth, a nice tart sweet fruity mix of lemon pulp and Epsom salts, light milky notes, pleasant and refreshing. On tap at American Taproom, Singapore.

Tap at the Burger Joint, Singapore. Poured a hazy golden colour with a thin white head. The aroma is grainy malt, big floral woody hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a crisp, malt, yeasty, medicinal, grainy, mineral, floral dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. The bitterness in the finish was awful with big medicinal notes. Unbalanced and barely drinkable. Tastes infected. I’ve read reviews elsewhere of this beer that were generally positive and even from the same bar, so I’m surprised that what is in front of me right now is so bad, but I have to rate it on that basis.

The aroma is grainy malt, yeasty, dry, a little Saison-like, dry hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, crisp, yeasty, dry, light floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can. Pours a near clear deep amber brown with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of tootsie roll and barrel with sweet dark grains and roast backing. Flavor has roasted malts and earthy dark grains with barrel and a hint of chocolate.

Can. A Black Coffee Brut IPA is it? Bless. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of coffee - heavily roasted, some earth, berry and weedy notes. The aroma lacks the roundness of good cold brew but the taste is better but quite sweet at first. Finish is all fruity coffee. Enjoyable but far too dominated by coffee for me.

Can, 7.77% ABV. Says it's barrel aged but I guess this is the same thing. Dark brown, a tan head settles to a fat coat. Aroma of chocolate, some earth and chicory, coffee, raisins. No big wodge of malt. Really quite light bodied, vertiginous bottom fermented palate. Some dried and stewed fruit, less earth and more mocha than suggested by the aroma. Not all that sweet with a swerve towards dry and fairly bitter at a finish that's spicy with pepper and vanilla (maybe that's oak). Lacks a bit of grunt for what is getting on to being a pretty strong beer, but I liked it.

Draft at Smith St Taps, Singapore. Poured a hazy golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is malt, dry coffee, dry hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp, coffee, dry, light floral woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The most expensive beer at Smith Street Taps and it didn’t represent great value for money. It’s just very bitter with a hint of coffee and not much else going on.
