Solid pale ale with a nice nose. Aromas of grapefruit and pineapple give way to a simple, grapefruit taste. Nice but not spectacular.

Bien.

(Can) Pours opaque yellow with a tiny white head, without which it would seem to be fruit juice. Pleasant fruity aroma mainly grapefruit and pineapple with peppery hints. Medium body with fine bright carbonation. Taste starts off refreshingly tart and fruity and steadily develops into full-on hoppy bitterness. Interesting, a bit brutal, but very drinkable.

Can. Wit-like appearance with a small white head. Fresh wintery orange with pineapple and mango, crackers. Drying, loaded with fruit. A hint of both bitterness and astringency but it’s soft and refreshing. Nicely done.

WCIPA but contains lactose? Sounds like an Emo Philips gag. Mostly clear pale amber with a 1/2 inch white head. Thrumming citrus aroma with kumquat, orange, grilled grapefruit, orange blossoms. But then it’s thinnish despite the lactose and the nice citrus aromatics get a little squished and mean before a dry and rather bitter finish. A little rounder as it warms.

(Can) Pours opaque milky pale amber with no head. Looks like fruit juice. Lovely intense hoppy aroma, mostly pine but hints of green mango. Full body and silky with very fine bright carbonation. Taste is hop dominated from start to bitter finish, but with good development through palate. There is some element of slightly tart fruit juice apparent beneath the hops at the start, but the hops have no trouble asserting their dominance. For me the final bitterness in the finish was not too bitter but was harsh. Unusual, enjoyable but a bit full on.

Can. I guess there's some pop culture reference I'm missing here, because I recently had a Mornington/ Tar Barrel beer with a very similar name. Opaque yellowish orange with a large white head that's soon a coat. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, sherbet, crackers. More grapefruit than pineapple in the taste - perhaps the most grapefruit juice-like beer I've had - with not a lot behind the fruit and lowish bitterness at the dry finish. No astringency - feels like it's been well-calibrated there. Refreshing but a bit one dimensional.

Can. Pale, opaque yellowish orange w a fleeting coat of white head. 3- Sharpish aroma of citrus, under-ripe tropical fruit, Thai salad dressing. Taste follows - not a lot under rambunctious fruit & herbal notes before a moderately bitter & somewhat burning finish. A bit harsh but OK.

Can from Beer52. Black with a swiftly vanishing tan head. Chocolare, coffee, treacle and porridge. A port-like berry note. Smooth and tasty, but just let down by a slight metallic note. Still decent though.

Can. Black with a tan head that settles to a cm. Aroma of singed sugars, roasted malt, chocolate, the sea. And so it tastes. Full bodied with lowish carbonation. Enveloping. Deep dark malty flavours but dryish with a mineral edge before firm bitterness. Perhaps a bit of licorice. Real presence and depth for its strength. Maybe the salt makes it a bit wearing after a while. Good stuff.
